Upper Blepharoplasty

(Upper eyelid lifts)

In an upper blepharoplasty, skin from the upper eyelids is removed (either under a local or general anaesthetic).

It is suitable for patients with excess skin on the upper eyelids to give a more youthful appearance, or because the excess skin is actually getting in the way of vision.

Patients in whom the primary problem is actually that the normally mobile eyelid is not able to move correctly (eyelid ptosis) or patients in whom the primary problem is not the eyelids, but actually the eyebrow which is sagging.
